At Datum, we believe that any service is only as reliable as the team behind it. We have built a solid reputation since we began trading in the early 1960s as T&S Joiners. In 1970 we became Datum Shopfitting Organisation Ltd and, on moving to our new corporate HQ in 1996, Datum Contracts International Ltd.

Below is a list of some of the key members in our highly-successful team.

	Clive Johnson: Managing Director Clive's management philosophy is very straightforward and is one of a "can do" basis. He has a passionate belief that superior levels of service can be offered differentiating his teams from the industry norm. The delivery of that belief has led to a significant amount of repeat business and recommendations from existing clients and consultants alike across a number of years in the businesses he has managed.
	Trevor Smyth: Founder Director A time-served apprentice, Trevor (together with Stan Borchard) founded T&S Joiners in the mid 1960s. In January 1970, they renamed the company Datum, and Trevor was joint Managing Director until 2007. Trevor is responsible for all issues relating to site implementation.
	Stan Borchard: Founder Director A time-served apprentice, Stan (together with Trevor Smyth) founded T&S Joiners in the mid 1960s. In January 1970, they renamed the company Datum, and Stan  was joint Managing Director until 2007. Stan is responsible for overseeing all the commercial aspects of Datum's operations.
	Michael Ellott: Works Director A time-served apprentice, Mick has over 20 years on-site experience with Datum. Joining the management team in 1997, his long practical experience has been invaluable in our continual drive to make working practices more efficient.
	Ray Hill: Procurement Director Ray is one of the founder members of the Datum team, having been with Datum for the last 35 years, Originally employed as the office administrator, he has worked his way up the company ladder. As procurement director he is responsible for making sure we get the keenest prices an goods and services making savings wherever possible, in order for us to keep a competitive edge in the market place.
	Bob Heddell: Technical Design Manager Bob started with the company back in 1985 and has been instrumental in the progress from flat top drawing benches to the implementation of the fully operational CAD system. The team of qualified staff, all working on CAD, look to Bob's wealth of experience including his Qualified professional support to ensure the smooth running of the department.
	Colin Beard: Senior Contracts Manager Colin has spent over 20 years in the shopfitting, joinery and exhibition sectors of the industry. Colin develops and maintains good working relationships with clients and their designated representatives on each project and works closely with them to maximise the chances of works being completed on time and within available budgets.
	Steve Wells: Chief Estimator Steve joined the company in 1990 as estimator/surveyor. Having spent his formative years studying for his qualifications as a cabinet maker, he moved on to material buying and then to shopfitting estimating. Having grown with the business he is now in charge of the department, covering all the aspects of the estimating function and development of our new computerised estimating system.
	Tim Collins: Commercial Manager (Quantity Surveying) Tim has been with Datum for over 12 years, being appointed to set up the commercial surveying department. Having been in the industry for over 25 years, he is a qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Building. The department handles all the commercial aspects of the contracts.
	Michael Tarrant: Health and Safety Advisor Mike promotes a Health and Safety awareness culture within Datum to enable the factory employees, site installation teams and office staff to operate in a safe risk free environment
